TurboWorx Delivers Presentation on Grids and Clusters
TurboWorx’s General Manager, Solutions, Dr. Srini Chari, delivered a presentation titled “Streamline and Accelerate Business Processes and Applications on Grids and Clusters” at the Avnet Partner Solutions IGNITION ‘04 Annual Conference this week. Avnet Partner Solutions is the leading value-added distributor of IBM enterprise computing products, storage, software and services. TurboWorx distributed computing solutions provide the leading end-to-end software solution for companies to describe, distribute and solve their most complex, time-critical computing problems in any computing environment. TurboWorx’s intuitive interface allows researchers, analysts, and other business professionals to describe compute-intense business critical processes in their own industry terms. The software then converts and distributes the complete problem across the enterprise infrastructure as a “computational workflow.” These solutions are fundamentally different from more traditional “transactional workflows” that are often used to automate simple “assembly line” tasks such as document management and order processing. As a result, life sciences companies can accelerate drug discovery; financial services firms can achieve a competitive edge by automating complex problems such as risk analysis; and engineering firms can accelerate large multi-task composite calculations such as aerodynamic modeling. IGNITION ‘04 offers direction on solution strategy, enablement education and networking. The conference will bring together more than 1,000 Avnet, IBM and reseller executives from the United States, Mexico and Canada. The theme for Partner Conference: IGNITION ‘04 is “POWER On Demand,” and will take place from Aug. 30 - Sept. 2 at the Westin La Cantera in San Antonio.
“TurboWorx is pleased to participate at such a prestigious event,” said Dr. Srini Chari, General Manager, Solutions, TurboWorx, Inc. “The presentation will discuss how companies in a wide variety of industries can leverage TurboWorx’s end-to-end, distributed computing solutions to describe, distribute and solve their most complex, time-critical computing problems in any computing environment,” Chari added.
The conference will offer live demonstrations of Avnet’s latest e-solutions and automation innovations, which are available through its Channel ConnectionTM customer portal. Avnet’s on demand capabilities streamline business processes along the supply chain, which allows partners to take cost out of their business and run more efficiently, making them more profitable. IGNITION ‘04 will feature a Solution Center where resellers, Independent Software Vendors, and IBM will showcase its on demand solutions. While at the conference, attendees may also take advantage of Avnet’s sales and technical certification training and testing.
