Nexsan to Showcase Flexible Storage Platform for Data-Intensive Applications at SC11 Conference
Nexsan announced it will showcase the new E-Series SAN and E5000 NAS products for scientific applications at SC11, the international conference for high performance computing, networking, storage and analysis. The conference, to be held in Seattle, November 14-17, 2011, will feature Nexsan's Flexible Storage Platform of products in booth #5601.
Who: Nexsan Corporation
What: Nexsan will demonstrate its latest generation of storage systems, including the E-Series and E5000 NAS storage systems for data intensive environments
When: November 14-17, 2011
Where: SC11, Washington State Convention and Trade Center, Seattle, Washington in booth #5601
Demonstrations at the conference will include Nexsan's E-Series SAN and E5000 NAS storage systems, both part of the Flexible Storage Platform. E-Series storage systems offer industry-leading storage density of 54TB in 2U with the E18, and up to 180TB in 4U with the E60. Each storage system can be expanded with the E60X which delivers up to 180TBs in just 4U. E5000 NAS storage systems provide highly available storage with scalability from 8TB to 1080TB of storage capacity. Both product lines support multiple RAID sets and multiple volumes per set with full LUN security and up to 254 LUNS per system. New controller technology, available in either single or dual controller configurations, introduces up to 4GB of battery-backed cache with dual RAID engines to deliver blazing performance.
In partnership with Nexsan, USI, Scale Datacom, Strategic Hardware and Abba Technologies will join Nexsan at SC11 in support of the conference. As providers of IT services and solutions to organizations with data intensive computing requirements, these Nexsan partners understand the challenges associated with high performance computing environments. These storage solution experts will bring their experience to bear at SC11.
"In computing environments that can range from several hundred terabytes to tens of petabytes, architecting an efficient storage infrastructure results in a more productive IT environment," said Mark Tuggle with USI. "High density storage systems from Nexsan reduce data center space requirements and allow for near unlimited growth. Density combined with reliability is what our customers look for and what Nexsan is known for."
"SC11 highlights the industry's most interesting and important supercomputing technologies in support of scientific applications globally," said Victoria Grey, SVP, Marketing, Nexsan. "With a successful track record in high performance computing environments, we understand the requirements for efficient, high density storage. Our latest generation of products delivers the necessary performance, capacity and reliability for uncompromised results."
