Altair's PBS Professional Honored With Two Telly Awards for Visual Campaign Production
Altair Engineering has received two bronze Telly Awards in recognition for its visual campaign production of a promotional video highlighting its high-performance computing workload management solution, PBS Professional.
Altair created its promotional video for PBS Professional in an effort to share with potential customers the key benefits of its software solutions and high-performance computing in action. The video includes interviews with key executives from PBS Works as well as testimonials from PBS Professional users. The video was produced in partnership with Communicore.
"Our goal with the production of this video was to craft a compelling visual that effectively communicated the key benefits of PBS Professional," said Bill Nitzberg, PBS Works CTO. "Having first-hand accounts of the value of PBS Professional from top executives, engineers and customers, as well as seeing the technology in action, makes our story more accessible and relevant to a broad audience."
PBS Professional, Altair's EAL3+ security certified commercial-grade HPC workload management solution, is the foundation of all PBS Works solutions. PBS Works is a popular solution set for optimizing workload scheduling and management of complex jobs in the HPC environment to ensure that technologies are being used to their greatest efficiency. It enables organizations to maximize efficient use of their computing resources and to initiate HPC jobs rapidly, thereby improving their overall productivity and return on investment.
The Telly Awards were founded in 1978 and are the premier awards honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. Winners represent the best work of respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments worldwide. This year's Telly Awards received and evaluated nearly 11,000 entries from across the country.
"The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video," said Linda Day, executive director of the Telly Awards. "Altair's accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production."
A prestigious judging panel of more than 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work. Only 25 percent of entries are chosen as Bronze Telly winners.
