Terascala Expands Executive Team
Alan Swahn Named Vice President of Marketing for Supercomputing Management Innovator
Terascala, the industry leader in management software, has announced that Alan Swahn, a former vice president of product management for Flexera Software, has joined Terascala’s executive team as vice president of marketing. Terascala’s software when combined with compute and storage systems create a high performance and reliable solutions for processing big data.
Swahn has been appointed to guide Terascala’s channel expansion and broaden its product portfolio. His leadership in startups and bringing new ideas to market is perfectly suited to manage Terascala’s growth stage with an eye to making Terascala synonymous with supercomputing.
According to Swahn, “There is transformation underway from all-about-the-app to all-about-the-data with the power to change our quality of life and how we operate in society through insights into personal medicine, energy exploration, security, competitive purchasing, and planetary change. Prior to joining Terascala, Swahn was vice president of marketing and business development at ManageSoft that was acquired by Flexera Software in FY2010. He also co-founded LightSpeed Semiconductor, where he was instrumental in defining a new market category for single mask programmable ASICs. Swahn was part of two startups that had successful IPOs—Viewlogic Systems and Daisy Systems. Swahn holds a BS in Electrical Engineering with High Honors from Rochester Institute of Technology and an AEET with Highest Distinction from Penn State University.
