ATA Engineering Announces Release of IMAT v2.2
New Functionality – New Vertical Applications – Expanded FEA Support: ATA Engineering today announced the release of IMAT version 2.2. This new release of IMAT offers usability enhancements over previous releases and introduces new, advanced features and functionality including the ability to import Nastran results into MATLAB for post-processing.
IMAT (Interface between MATLAB, Analysis, and Test) is a program that facilitates data sharing between MATLAB, analysis tools, and test software. ATA’s IMAT Toolbox provides a framework for easily importing FEA (Nastran and ABAQUS) simulation data and measured test data into the MATLAB environment to access its versatile programming and mathematical strengths. With the IMAT Toolbox, test and simulation data such as mode shapes, time histories, spectra, and other functions can be viewed and manipulated in MATLAB with all of the data attributes preserved. IMAT also offers a full-featured GUI (graphical user interface) for plotting functions and editing function attributes.
Also available in IMAT v2.2 are vertical application packages: IMAT+Testkit is a collection of utilities designed to aid test engineers in pre and post testing activities. IMAT+Testkit includes modal (vibration) testing utilities for selecting the optimal accelerometer and exciter locations, the new Alias-Free Polyreference curvefitter (AF Poly), and other tools. IMAT+RTK is a new utility designed for jet engine and rotating equipment engineers. IMAT+RTK analyzes data and performs order-tracking of rotational events using the Vold-Kalman filtering technique.
