PCTi's DBx parallel database solution is selected in Microsoft's HPC rollout
Parallel Computers Technology Inc. (PCTi), an emerging leader in parallel database replication and performance technologies today announced that its DBx family of products has been selected as a partnering solution in Microsoft's HPC Windows Server 2008 global rollout. This recognition demonstrates PCTi's commitment to work and solve the needs of companies that are operating large scale transactional and data warehouse SQL Server environments. Together Microsoft and PCTi solutions empower customers to improve revenue and decrease costs by maximizing their server investment to achieve the highest levels of data availability and performance. PCTi's flagship product called DBx Replication 4.0 allows SQL applications to deliver greater collective performance and reliability by running their SQL Servers on HPC Windows Server 2008. DBx 4.0 solution comes with a parallel synchronous data replication engine, user configurable load balancing, and automatic database resynchronization tools to maintain zero data loss, ultra fast performance, and seamless fail-back in the event of a disaster. DBx 4.0 is certified on SQL Server 2005 and Windows 2003.
As part of PCTi's continuing collaboration, DBx(TM) will be certified on SQL Server 2008 and come with .Net interface in 2008. Customers will enjoy the same benefits of DBx 4.0 but with enhanced features such as web based management and control of SQL Server.
