As a Sponsor Partner, Atrato has access to state-of-the-art technology laboratories, data centers, a network operations center and partner offices at the Microsoft Corp. campus in Redmond, WA. These resources will allow Atrato to engage customers in a broad range of hands-on demonstrations including executive briefings, technology presentations, proof of concept and training.
“We are very pleased that Atrato has joined the Microsoft Partner Solution Center to help fuel future innovations with Microsoft technologies like Windows HPC Server 2008,” said Kyril Faenov, general manager, Microsoft. “We use the Velocity1000 storage system to support a production Windows HPC Server 2008 cluster at Microsoft, and have been very pleased with the storage density and performance.”
The Atrato system currently supports multiple solutions for Windows Server environments and allows customers to design, evaluate and test applications requiring high data access. With Atrato high performance storage solutions, customers can effectively manage their data within Microsoft applications and databases, while significantly reducing storage costs and simplifying their IT environment.
“We are excited to join the MPSC and to be part of their network solution ecosystem,” said Dan McCormick, co-founder and CEO of Atrato. “We will continue to work closely with MPSC to demonstrate the value of our joint solutions and enable tighter integration to address the specific needs of the Microsoft community.”
“Microsoft’s focus on establishing initiatives that support corporate sustainability and greener data centers are at the forefront of this joint venture,” stated David Hayes, director of MPSC at Microsoft. “Atrato shares in this philosophy; its mission to improve energy efficiency and cost savings is consistent with Microsoft’s vision. Together we will work to improve data center efficiency and maximize value for our customers.”
The unique design of the Atrato V1000 allows end-users to save as much as 80% in energy usage as compared to other storage solutions on the market. Lower energy consumption translates to significant cost savings in both power and cooling. As a Sponsor Partner, Atrato will work with Microsoft to continue creating innovative solutions that are cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
