Adaptive Technologies Invests in MSC.Software
MSC.Software today announced that Adaptive Technologies Inc. (ATI), a leading R&D/design team for real-world sound solutions, has invested in MSC.Software's suite of integrated solutions including MSC.Actran and MSC.Patran to improve their VPD process and increase their ability to develop solutions for difficult sound problems. Military, industrial, and transportation workers are often exposed to high noise environments for long periods of time. Exposure to these dangerous sound environments not only damages hearing, but also induces fatigue and creates opportunities for errors due to miscommunication. The Adaptive Technologies team, led by Dr. Kenji Homma and Dr. Will Saunders, president and founder of Adaptive Technologies Inc., believes that MSC's VPD environment will increase their ability to understand hearing protector technologies. "We have tried other simulation software tools but they produced incomplete results with little insight into the solution. After researching the acoustic FEA market, we recognized that MSC.Actran with MSC.Patran provided more versatile models and reduced run times allowing us to generate real-world solutions, faster."
Dr. Saunders continued, "Adaptive Technologies Inc. is a leader in developing solutions to difficult noise control problems and in order to continue making significant strides over conventional technology, our acoustic researchers require the industry's best-in-class technology. We partnered with MSC because our team was convinced that the investment would produce improved VPD processes and cost effective solutions."
MSC.Actran is a comprehensive solution for determining the acoustics and vibro-acoustics performance of structural and mechanical systems. MSC.Patran is an interactive, general-purpose computer-aided engineering (CAE) modeler that enables engineers to visualize and test product designs through computer- based simulation. MSC.Actran coupled with MSC.Patran is the industry's leading solution to solve challenging acoustics, vibro-acoustics and aero- acoustics problems.
