Agilysys and Mountain View Data Sign Sales Agreement
Agilysys, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise computer solutions, has signed Master Distributor and Value-Added Reseller agreements with Mountain View Data, Inc. (MVD), a leading provider of Linux management framework software. Under these agreements, Agilysys will distribute and resell MVD's PowerCockpit(R), powerful system software designed to deploy and manage large clusters of Linux(TM)- and Microsoft(R) Windows(TM)-based servers. "Agilysys is partnering with organizations which are best suited to drive growth in the Linux high-performance computing (HPC) marketplace," said Matt Reaves, vice president, software sales for Agilysys. "That includes companies like Mountain View Data that have a unique value proposition that enhances the portfolio solutions offering to our partners and customers."
These agreements provide Agilysys customers with more choices when evaluating various cluster management software applications. The value proposition for Agilysys' partners and customers is the ability to provide an expanded solutions portfolio while including the hardware, software and services necessary to successfully compete and grow in the Linux marketplace.
PowerCockpit is leading-edge software for deploying, provisioning and managing clusters of Intel-based servers running the Windows or Linux operating system. PowerCockpit appeals to customers with diverse environments due to its compatibility with various hardware platforms. PowerCockpit has been designed to work well in heterogeneous environments with Intel-based servers from IBM, HP and other leading manufacturers.
