Titan Awarded SSC San Diego ID/IQ Network Engineering Support Contract
The Titan Corporation announced today that it has been awarded an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) multiple-award contract by Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego (SSC San Diego) to perform Network Engineering Services in support of Information Systems and Network Technology Programs. The contract has a potential value of up to $23 million over five years if all options are exercised (one base year, plus four option years). "This opportunity allows Titan to continue providing support in the development, fielding, operation and life cycle maintenance of the command, control, information and network programs so critical to the success of the U.S. Navy's operating forces," said Gene Ray, Titan's chairman, president and CEO. "We are pleased to have the opportunity to continue our long-standing relationship with SSC San Diego in accomplishing this important effort in support of the fleet."
Under the contract, Titan will provide systems engineering; command, control and communication system development/installation; modeling and simulation support; database development; network operations; logistics support; and technical and management support services for SSC San Diego's Networks and Information Systems Division. The networks involved are specialized, tailored, and classified tactical networks that are complementary to the Navy Marine Corps Internet.
