Department of Energy to Announce $50 Million Leadership Class Computing Award
The Council on Competitiveness to host U.S. Department of Energy Secretary for National Announcement of Leadership Class Computing Award – On Wednesday, May 12, the Council on Competitiveness will be hosting the Secretary of Energy and top DOE officials to announce the Energy Department’s $50 million Leadership Class Computing Competition. This award will ensure the U.S. has the most advanced computing capabilities in the world. Through major grant support from DOE, DARPA and major industry partners, the Council on Competitiveness has launched a High Performance Computing (HPC) Initiative to help galvanize a dialogue among government agencies, industry manufacturers and private sector users of high-performance computing to better leverage government investment in HPC research and development for national competitiveness.
