Solarflare Appoints Dave Parry as Vice President of Engineering
Solarflare Communications has announced the appointment of Dave Parry as vice president of engineering. Parry joins Solarflare with extensive experience leading teams that design and bring to market high-performance server and networking products. He will be responsible for managing the company's engineering functions.
With Parry's appointment, Solarflare strengthens its position as the leading provider of high-performance, low-power 10GbE silicon, network adapters and application acceleration middleware for next-generation 10GbE networks.

Previously, Parry served in a variety of executive roles at SGI, leading engineering and business management efforts for server and storage products. Most recently, he was senior vice president at SGI and was responsible for product strategy and roadmap, engineering, marketing and business management for SGI's server product line and applications / performance engineering. Prior to SGI, Parry held various engineering and management positions in microprocessor and computer systems design at MIPS Computer Systems and Hewlett-Packard. He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
