Mechdyne launches Meeting Canvas for collaborative meetings everywhere
Make meetings the most productive part of your day
Collaborative meetings made easy
Mechdyne has announced Meeting Canvas, a collaborative meeting tool that allows users to connect into and actively participate in a collective meeting, no matter where they may be at the time--quickly, easily and securely.
"In many organizations today, meetings make up a big part of the day," says Paris-based Julien Berta, VP Technology and Innovation, for Mechdyne's Software Division. "Meetings are a big investment of time and energy, so they have to be productive. We developed Meeting Canvas for organizations with people and information in more than one location. This new technology brings people and data together, in one virtual location. The result is much more interactive and collaborative meetings."
Meeting Canvas is a web-based, off the shelf solution that makes it easy for even technically challenged meeting participants to start up and lead a meeting. Based on network and desktop technologies, the collaborative meeting tool easily connects other participants into a meeting-whether they are across campus or the globe. This new AV/IT offering from Mechdyne also allows everyone in the meeting to share visuals, data, photos, video or documents, in a variable, multiple window set up-- so everyone "in" the meeting may bring in content they want others to see and discuss.
Other key features include the ability to record the entire meeting, including audio and video, and to annotate directly on the meeting "canvas" to make certain important points and outcomes standout and can be reviewed at a later date. Finally, MeetingCanvas lets users share their desktop over Wi-Fi, from Windows and MacOS laptops, as well as iPhone and iPad devices.
"We are really pleased to be bringing this new solution to the market," says Berta. "The beauty of Meeting Canvas is its ease of use. And unlike similar, more complex control systems, you can bring your own device (BYOD), like an iOS device or a smartphone, and use it to control your collaborative meeting. Or, if you are traveling, you can log in from your laptop, another meeting room, or even from your iPad or phone. This new technology is going to have a very significant impact on how organizations host meetings."
