Infortrend has announced the addition of 4 new models to its groundbreaking 16G Fibre Channel (FC) storage solutions. Available in 4U/48 and 2U/24 form factors and for a limited time* at the same price as Infortrend's 8G FC storage offerings these models provide users with the choice of higher capacity and density storages to take full advantage of the cutting-edge performance, advanced hardware design, backward compatibility, and virtualization offered by the 16G FC EonStor DS G7i model lineup.

In introducing the world's first 16G FC models, Infortrend took the lead in providing innovative solutions for performance-demanding applications & services. By adding higher capacity and density storage options, Infortrend offers users a wider array of options to optimize and help future proof their storage infrastructure for better data management and space utilization.

Combining the scalability potential & breakthrough performance of these new higher capacity and density 16G FC models with the power of the advanced hardware, data services and established features of the G7i Platform, these new 16G FC models have the potential to be the cornerstone of your demanding applications such as video/media editing, supercomputing, virtualization and data backup.
