Mellanox Encourages Excellence by Supporting Judo World Champion Yarden Gerbi
Mellanox Technologies will provide financial support to Israeli sportswoman Yarden Gerbi, 2013 Judo World Champion in the under 63kg (139 lbs.) category and ranked first worldwide, and will sponsor her as she attempts to qualify for and compete in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
This sponsorship is part of Mellanox’s tradition of donating part of its profits to communities in Israel and the United States. Mellanox is committed to fostering and encouraging excellence and achievements of individuals, and is actively involved in a variety of education programs, technology access programs, sports programs and cultural activities. Mellanox attaches great importance to rewarding and encouraging excellence and believes in the power of excellence to improve society as a whole and to build a better future. In supporting leading athlete Yarden Gerbi, the company hopes to help her focus on training and preparing for upcoming competitions, especially the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

Mellanox also supports the judoka Tommy Arshansky, an outstanding Israeli athlete who won the bronze medal at the European Championship in judo in the under 60kg category held in Budapest this year. The company also granted the talented violinist Gal Eckstein a scholarship for his musical studies.
