Criterion HPS delivers The Cube C-5R Ruggedized Appliance
Criterion HPS, a leading provider of high-end technology solutions today announced the availability of The Cube C-5R Ruggedized Appliance. The Cube, the world's premier green High Performance Computing platform, is a high-speed, small footprint compute appliance that provides true supercomputing capabilities and exceptional cost savings. The C-5R model is ideal for deployment and enables true, high power, computing on the edge capabilities. This solution runs on a standard circuit of 110 volts at 20 amps with minimal heat signature as it utilizes innovative spray cool inert liquid technology. Bob Coxe, former CTO of the U.S. Army and Technical Director, Criterion HPC stated, "With The Cube C-5R you can now have an extremely high-end environment ready to go in under 2 hours for deployment in the field, air or sea." The Cube C-5R, originally developed for a highly classified customer, has been tailored for deployment for various government agencies and now the commercial market. This appliance has the potential for replacing entire small computing rooms and revolutionizes how organizations buy its IT infrastructure.
Lt. General Thomas McInerney, former Assistant Vice-Chief of Staff of the Air Force and member of the Criterion Board of Advisors stated, "I was intimately involved with the development of this solution and I can tell you The Cube is truly a remarkable technology." He added, "The original customer was very pleased with its performance, and I don't believe there is a product on the market that comes close to the computing power and performance in such a small, green, portable package."
The Cube C-5R is the first offering of a family of Cube appliance solutions from Criterion HPS. The next generation of this solution, the C-10, will be available in September. The C-10 appliance will have many of the same features as the C-5R and is ideal for the office environment.
