The national American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) has selected Sandia National Laboratories employees Nancy Jackson and John DeBassige to receive the 2nd Annual Professional of the Year awards. The awards will be presented at the AISES National Conference in Charlotte, N.C. on Nov. 4. Jackson received the Professional of the Year Award and DeBassige received the award for Most Promising Engineer/Scientist.
Jackson is the Deputy Director of Sandia’s International Security Center. She has served on numerous committees and boards for the national academies. The AISES Professional of the Year award is presented for overall leadership and technical achievement.

He participated in Sandia’s One-Year-On-Campus education program where he completed his master of science degree 10 months early, with extra credits. The AISES Most Promising Engineer/Scientist award is presented because of his early technical contributions.
