MSC.Software Appoints Stephen Bodnar to VP of Product Management
MSC.Software Corp. , the leading global provider of Virtual Product Development (VPD) solutions, including simulation software and services, today announced the appointment of Stephen Bodnar as vice president of product management. Mr. Bodnar will be responsible for product planning, management and governance across MSC.Software's line of software solutions. Mr. Bodnar joins MSC.Software with 17 years of marketing and product management experience in the CAD/CAM/CAE, PLM, and enterprise software industries. Prior to joining MSC.Software, Mr. Bodnar has served in several executive roles including director of market development for EDS' PLM Solutions and as vice president of the collaborative solutions group at Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC). Before SDRC, Mr. Bodnar was the director of product marketing for Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC). Mr. Bodnar was a founding member of Auxilium, Inc. where he was the director of product management prior to its acquisition by PTC in 1999. He also served at Chrysler Corporation for 10 years in the engineering CAD/CAM/CAE group.

"In this role Steve will guide MSC's cross-functional product management teams in the management of the entire product life-cycle for MSC's existing and new Virtual Product Development solutions. Steve's consolidated team will work closely with the product marketing and product development organizations to develop positioning, understand key market requirements, and to drive the delivery of appropriately defined VPD solution sets to market. The team's primary focus will be around the delivery of SimDesigner, SimOffice and SimManager and ensuring corporate-wide coordination of product development and the bridge of development and marketing activities."
Mr. Wienkoop continued, "Steve's experience, his big-picture vision in the CAD/CAM/CAE and PLM markets, and his unique blend of business and technological knowledge will serve as the basis for ensuring that MSC's future product visions become reality. Steve comes to MSC after successively serving strategic PLM-related roles in companies such as Chrysler Corporation, Control Data, Auxilium, PTC and SDRC/EDS PLM Solutions."
