GraphOn Corp. Unveils GO-Global for UNIX 2.1.1
GraphOn Corporation, a leading developer of multi-platform application publishing and Web-enabling software solutions, today announced the immediate availability of GO-Global for UNIX version 2.1.1. The new version incorporates a number of additions and enhancements. GO-Global for UNIX is a server-based computing solution that publishes UNIX and Linux software applications to corporate networks or the Web without the need to modify applications or run local X Server software. GO-Global incorporates ultra-thin-client technology that makes applications instantly accessible to local, remote and mobile users, regardless of platform or operating system.
"GO-Global maximizes the value of UNIX applications," said Bob Peterson, GraphOn's Chief Operating Officer. "For example, users can run UNIX applications such as AutoCad or HP OpenView on their Windows desktops, thereby becoming more productive at the office or on the road. With the new capabilities incorporated into version 2.1.1, GO-Global for UNIX is now more flexible and effective than ever."
The enhancements incorporated into GO-Global for UNIX 2.1.1 include the following:
-- Server support has been added for Red Hat Linux Enterprise, Red Hat Linux version 9, and Sun Solaris version 9
-- A native X11 client is now available
-- The FlexLM daemon and libraries have been updated to version 9.2
-- The OpenSSL library has been updated to version 0.9.7c
-- The PostgreSQL implementation has been updated to version 7.4.1
-- The Thawte code signing certificates have been renewed
-- Various other additions and enhancements have been added
Current GO-Global for UNIX customers with valid maintenance contracts can download version 2.1.1 for free at www.graphon.com/support/upgrade.shtml. Customers without maintenance can sign up for maintenance at the same link.
GraphOn's GO-Global software family also includes GO-Global for Windows which publishes or Web-enables Windows applications for instant access from any device, platform and operating system.
