HP Announces New NonStop Servers
PALO ALTO, CA -- HP today unveiled new HP NonStop servers that deliver enterprise customers superb reliability and scalability with reduced costs and complexity. The powerful high-end servers strengthen HP's ability to support the requirements of business-critical environments and provide HP with an engine for growth in new and existing accounts and markets. The market-leading, fault-tolerant HP NonStop servers are the core transaction engines for the performance and memory-intensive applications critical to financial, telecommunication and real-time e-business environments.
The HP NonStop S86000 server is the newest and highest-performing addition to HP's high-end enterprise server lineup. It features increased hardware performance and encompasses a comprehensive suite of the latest industry-standard interfaces, delivering dramatic improvements in application throughput and time to market.
In addition, HP has extended its customers' real-time enterprise capability with the naming of new independent software vendors (ISVs) as strategic business partners to the HP Zero Latency Enterprise (ZLE) initiative. Contributing valuable new software technologies and expertise are TIBCO Software Inc. and SeeBeyond Technology Corp.

Enhanced Hardware Drives Faster Performance
Developed on time and ahead of performance estimates, the new HP NonStop servers respond to the business world's ever-increasing need for speed and real-time information with enhanced hardware and performance boosts at all levels.
The premium-performance HP NonStop S86000 server features the latest-generation MIPS R14000 microprocessor, double the cache size and four times the maximum memory of existing NonStop S-series servers. Also included are a new high-speed disk drive, delivering a 25 percent improvement in I/O performance, and the new NonStop SQL/MX 1.5 relational database, complete with higher performance and valuable publish/subscribe and queuing functionality. These powerful new hardware components combine to deliver as much as a 90 percent processor performance boost over previous high-end NonStop S-series servers.

HP also has introduced the next-generation HP NonStop S76 server family. The S76 server family includes the currently available high-end S76000 and low-end S760. The midrange S7600 and entry-level S76 servers are expected to be available in the third quarter of 2002.
