Extreme Networks Provides Switched Network Infrastructure at RSNA 2004
Extreme Networks is providing switched networking infrastructure to connect the Radiological Society of North America's (RSNA) Annual Meeting, the world's largest medical gathering featuring more than 60,000 attendees and 700 booth vendors, held this week at McCormick Place in Chicago. Extreme Networks is working with iNOC, which has designed, built and managed the RSNAnet for the past five years, to establish a robust and secure IP network to serve the event. Extreme Networks' high performance switching technology is delivering wire-speed Gigabit Ethernet connections with managed and secure traffic over the network, which spans across a two million square- foot area. "Extreme's LAN infrastructure products are very reliable and have the functionality and features required to support the demands of a challenging trade show environment," said Rick Smith, vice president of engineering & services at iNOC. iNOC has been designing the RSNA network backbone with Extreme switches for the last three years.
"We are pleased to be supplying the critical network technology for RSNA's annual meeting," said Suresh Gopalakrishnan, vice president of marketing for Extreme Networks, Inc. "Visitors and sponsoring companies enjoy a reliable, high performance network where communications and large image files, increasingly common to healthcare, are passed quickly and easily across the network."
Extreme Networks' innovative network technology enables customers to experience the business benefits of a high performance network infrastructure. Extreme Networks' award-winning network solutions simplify network deployments while delivering the improved performance, security, resiliency and traffic prioritization required for the convergence of data, voice and video.
