InfiniCon Systems Serves up High-Performance Networking Clusters
InfiniCon Systems, the leader in end-to-end networking for high performance business computing, announces availability of its first pre-configured and certified 'recipe' for Oracle Database 10g installations that serves up the unparalleled performance and reliability of InfiniCon's high-speed networking solutions.
Now available through the Intel Enterprise Server Acceleration Alliance (ESAA) program, this complete database clustering solution includes best practices for deploying Oracle Database 10g powered by Intel Xeon-based servers and interconnected via InfiniCon's innovative high-speed networking. The recipe provides Oracle Real Application Clusters with low latency InfiniBand-based 10 Gbps switching and requires no changes to an end user's Oracle software. The recipe provides customers with maximum flexibility and cost-efficiency - from InfiniCon's entry-level 9024 or 5000 switches, designed for smaller scale, departmental and divisional server clusters, to its recently introduced enterprise-class 9100 and 9200 switches, the industry's most scalable switching platforms. Fully redundant configurations are defined for enterprise-class availability, and future recipes will include Virtual I/O, Fibre Channel, and Ethernet gateway solutions.
"Certification of pre-configured 'recipes' for Oracle Database 10g enables OEMs and customers to quickly and confidently implement high-performance, reliable solutions that are already fully integrated and tested," says InfiniCon CEO Russ Hawkins. "ESAA recipes with InfiniCon make scale-out processing for clustering applications more powerful and affordable."
In addition, the ESAA certification means contributors to the recipe, including Intel, EMC, Oracle, and InfiniCon, will provide support through TSANet for the entire solution. This high level of assurance means lower total cost of ownership for customers.
Available to Intel ESAA Program Members and InfiniCon ASAP Partners
InfiniCon's clustering solution for Oracle 10g is now available to OEM members of the Intel ESAA program, and through InfiniCon's Authorized Solution Alliance Partners (ASAP) program.
"Working with participants in the ESAA program, such as InfiniCon, will help reduce certification barriers, providing server OEMs a faster, more cost-efficient avenue for adopting a wide variety of software and server platforms," said Jeff Richardson, general manager of Intel's Enterprise Products and Services Division.
InfiniCon partner and ESAA member Langchao Group, the premier IT solution provider in the People's Republic of China, agree with this assessment. "Our customers quickly realize the value of bringing certified, pre-configured solutions into their real world application environments," says Langchao chief technology officer Leijun Hu. "By offering solutions specific to both industries and applications on Langchao's Intel-based server platforms, we help customers to dramatically improve business efficiencies."
