Scalable Networks Lands Lockheed Martin as QualNet Customer
LOS ANGELES, CA -- Scalable Network Technologies, the maker of QualNet software, announced today that Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is a customer. Lockheed Martin Aeronautics builds tactical military aircraft and integrates the communications systems that support them. The Information Operations Group is looking to use QualNet to test and verify tactical communication networks that connect aircraft and integrate existing communications systems. QualNet predicts the behavior of computer networks by running a software model of the proposed network. Using a network modeler like QualNet speeds up the development cycle by generating accurate performance data of the proposed network before the prototype is built.
"We are seeing a new breed of projects with design requirements for interoperability between the separate branches of the Department of Defense and coalition forces," said Senior Software Engineer John Clark of the Information Operations Group. "Our goal is to build up QualNet expertise with the intention of using it to identify compatibility issues between currently incompatible communication systems."
"Lockheed Martin has an impressive record of groundbreaking innovation in the defense industry, and we are extremely pleased with their decision to use QualNet," said Rajive Bagrodia, founder and CEO of Scalable Network Technologies. "QualNet is an ideal platform to examine network interoperability issues because of its wide selection of communication system models. We look forward to working with Lockheed Martin in the design of innovative technologies in the future."
