Tarari Broadens Product Line with New Compact PCI Solution
Tarari Inc., the award-winning acceleration company, announced today that Advantech Co., Ltd., has certified the Tarari Content Processor for its 64/66Mhz Compact PCI line of products. cPCI is a very high-performance, industrial bus with up to 21 slots. Demanding vertical markets such as telecommunications rely on the cPCI architecture for its robust mechanical design, high compute-density, lower system costs, quicker time-to-market and tremendous bandwidth. Servers, appliances and devices built around cPCI require components with long-term stability and service availability. The Tarari Content Processor accelerates and offloads compute-intensive, complex algorithms used in Network Security, XML, Web Services and High Performance Computing environments. Now, for the first time, this level of accelerated processing is available to industries dependent on very high rates of data transfer and invested in cPCI, such as telecommunications, real-time machine control, industrial automation, military systems and real-time data acquisition.
"We're pleased to broaden our horizons to include Compact PCI," said Randy Smerik, president and CEO of Tarari, Inc. "Advantech's certification of our Content Processor on cPCI opens up possibilities and gives OEMs more choices in what to offer their customers, especially in telecommunications and real-time computing vertical markets."
"This partnership is an excellent match," said Alp Sezen, Managing Director, Advantech. "It's the logical next step for Tarari in that the cPCI bus together with the Content Processor can accommodate applications optimized for high rates of data transfer. We look forward to being able to offer this to some of our most bandwidth-hungry customers."
Tarari will demonstrate its Content Processors running on Advantech's Compact PCI systems during NetWorld + Interop 2004 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, May 11-14, 2004, in Booth 762.
