Get up-to-date with PRACE at ISC’10
PRACE, the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe, takes an active role at ISC’10, Hamburg, Germany on May 30 – June 3, 2010.
A full morning is dedicated to the “PRACE Open Dialog with European Tier-0 Users” on Tuesday, June 1 at 9:00 in the ISC’10 conference room B2.2.
Thomas Eickermann, PRACE project manager, FZJ, Germany, presents an update on PRACE, the current status and the next steps. Axel Berg from SARA, The Netherlands, gives a presentation on benchmark results on the PRACE prototypes.Iris Christadler, LRZ, Germany, talks about evaluation of performance and productivity of new HPC programming languages. Turlough Downes, DCU, Ireland, shares his experiences using the PRACE resources from a user point of view in his presentation “Massively parallel simulations of astrophysical turbulence”. Ana Bela Dias, NCF, The Netherlands, describes how to access the PRACE HPC resources. The networking session ends with conclusions and discussion.
The PRACE Award 2010, honoring an outstanding paper on innovative use of High Performance Computing by a young researcher, will be presented at the opening session of ISC’10 on Monday, May 31 starting at 10:15 in hall 3.
PRACE participates also in the ISC’10 exhibition at booth number 125. PRACE project members will present the current and future steps of PRACE and answer your questions. You are cordially invited to visit the PRACE booth!
