Instant Messaging Provider ICQ Chooses CDNetworks Web Performance Suite
CDNetworks announced its cooperation in a global deal with ICQ, the award-winning worldwide-operating instant messaging provider.
With CDNetworks Web Performance Suite, ICQ will ensure the high-end performance of its website and accelerate the delivery of its website content and applications to its end users worldwide.
Via its globally distributed, high-performance servers, CDNetworks accelerates both dynamically changing and static content to end-users. CDNetworks simultaneously provides fast response times, particularly during the frequent high-traffic scenarios experienced by ICQ – all at a maximum level of security and reliability.
ICQ, an instant messaging pioneer, has millions of active users worldwide who use ICQ’s instant messaging service on a wide range of desktops, web browsers, and mobile devices. ICQ’s five leading markets include Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Czech Republic and Israel.
The stable and powerful performance of the CDNetworks solution was a key factor in ICQ Management’s decision to leverage the CDNetworks solution. ICQ required a provider that could support its plans for expansion into the rapidly-growing Russian market and provide flexibility for future further expansion. In addition, CDNetworks’ global experience enables the company to add value to the relationship with ICQ as it pursues new business initiatives in different regions. “We were looking for a partner who not only operates globally and can handle our very high traffic, but who will not ignore our needs should new services emerge at varying traffic levels. With regard to this, CDNetworks was the best competitor to meet our high standards,” said Avi Zrachya, Director of Infrastructure and Network Operations at ICQ.
“The high performance of our delivery infrastructure, our market expertise and our ability to smoothly integrate with ICQ made this partnership possible. We look forward to advising and delivering services to ICQ as it expands globally,” commented Carsten Steffen, Director Strategic Accounts, EMEA at CDNetworks.
