SysMaster Announces New Layer 7 Load Balancing & SSL Acceleration Module
OAKLAND, CA -- SysMaster(TM) Corporation -- a leading developer of high-end server load balancing and traffic management network appliances, announced today that the company has completed the development of its new Layer 7 (L7) load balancing and SSL acceleration module. The new module will complete the family of existing network management modules that include load balancing, bandwidth management, traffic shaping, and denial of service prevention. "The new L7 and SSL acceleration functionality will allow our company to not only compete successfully in the L4 load-balancing market, but also to gain momentum in content-switching and HTTP 1.1 processing," said Boris Panteleev, CTO of SysMaster(TM) Corporation. "Unlike most competing products, our L7 and SSL acceleration functionalities support multiple-call switching and header processing of HTTP 1.1 to allow improved performance and high processing scalability."
The SysMaster(TM) Network Management Platform (SM NMP) is comprised of an extensive set of basic functionalities that are used by all modules built on the platform. The platform provides two layers of modularity, where each layer provides further sets of capabilities that make the entire framework extremely flexible and scalable. This approach allows for easy maintenance and simple upgrades, hence reduced TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) in the long run. The SysMaster(TM) platform is capable of running many modules on a single device. This makes it a unique universal solution for the enterprise, eliminating the need for many other separate devices such as routers, load balancers, bandwidth managers, firewalls, WAN connectivity devices, network monitors and more.
Currently the SysMaster(TM) Platform supports the following function modules that can be used in an all-in-one fashion: L4/L7 Server Load-balancing, Global DNS Server (GDNS), Bandwidth Management (QoS), Denial of Service Prevention, Firewall, Router and WAN Link Module.
