Force10 Networks Receives 2011 Leadership Award from Technology Marketing Corporation's NGN Magazine
Force10 Networks has announced that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) has named the Force10 S-Series ultra-low latency S4810 top-of-rack (ToR) switch as a recipient of the 2011 NGN Leadership Award presented by TMC's publication, NGN Magazine.
Designed for applications in data center and computing environments that require the highest bandwidth and lowest latency, the S4810 10/40 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) ToR switch leverages a non-blocking, cut-through switching architecture to deliver line-rate Layer 2 and Layer 3 forwarding capacity with ultra-low latency to maximize network performance. The compact S4810 design provides 48 dual-speed 1/10 GbE ports and four 40 GbE uplinks to conserve valuable rack space.
"We're proud to receive this honor from NGN Magazine for our S4810 access switch," says Arpit Joshipura, chief marketing officer, Force10 Networks. "Having this product win the Network Technology award validates the work we have done to deliver high performance and ultra-low-latency with a compact form factor for data center and service provider environments."
The Third Annual NGN Leadership Award has recognized the growth, evolution and distinction between the applications and services designed for next generation networks and the enabling technologies that make them possible. Force10 has been recognized in the Network Technology category.
"Force10 has been recognized for their exceptional work in advancing NGN services and technologies. The S4810 has proven that it is exceptional and its innovation has contributed to the transformation of the industry," stated Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. "Congratulations to the entire team at Force10 and I look forward to more innovation in the coming year."
