VSS Monitoring Accepted into Ready for IBM Tivoli Program
VSS Monitoring announced that it has been accepted into the Ready for IBM Tivoli Program after completing validation testing with their Protector 2020 and IBM's ISS systems.
With IBM validation, the VSS Protector and the IBM IPS appliance will work together to deliver a high level of network security availability, redundancy and flexibility – scalable worldwide. Customers can incrementally or immediately connect multiple IBM Security Network IPS Sensors to multi-port appliances, in passive or inline configurations to support multiple networks, network segments and policies.
VSS Monitoring and IBM customers are able to utilize VSS packet optimization features such as session aware load balancing and intelligent traffic filtering by delivering policy based specific traffic of interest to each of the IBM IPS appliances to maximize the performance of the IBM IPS solution across multiple network segments and security zones, scaling well beyond 80 GigE of active inline IPS performance. IBM customers will be empowered with the confidence they need to scale their IBM IPS investments by using VSS Protector to improve their solution.
"IBM Tivoli software provides global visibility of deployable offerings to meet the most challenging service management needs today," said Kevin Jablonski, vice president of global marketing, strategic partnerships and channels. "Acceptance into Ready for IBM Tivoli Program reinforces our dedication to provide an easy to integrate, quick deployment and a scalable solution to optimize network performance."
VSS will provide new and existing IBM IPS clients with redundancy, high availability, ByPass protection, session aware load balancing and packet filtering for increased performance, inline deployment flexibility, security in layers, multiple network segment and policy enforcement.
