ADVA Optical Networking joins Dark Fiber Community
Online community created by Allied Fiber enables optical networking growth and expansion
ADVA Optical Networkingtoday announced that it has joined the Dark Fiber Community, an online resource for the network operators that build efficient broadband networks and the vendors that support them. Operated by Allied Fiber, the Dark Fiber Community was designed as a networking and educational platform for organizations that support communications network growth and development.
Allied Fiber created the Dark Fiber Community in response to the rising demands for its dark-fiber products and services. The Dark Fiber Community is a knowledge portal for the industry, providing data and industry information that is freely accessible to all. Since launching less than a year ago, the Dark Fiber Community has enjoyed widespread success, now counting 60 members that include equipment vendors, infrastructure builders, financing companies and industry associations.
"We are proud to be a member of the Dark Fiber Community,” stated Brian Savory, director of business development at ADVA Optical Networking. “Allied Fiber has created a valuable resource for the community that makes it easy to do business and to stay active and visible as a key participant in the optical networking industry.”
The Dark Fiber Community provides information and contact details for industry-leading vendors, as well as the opportunity to plan one-on-one meetings with those suppliers anywhere in the world. This enhances business opportunities for both network operators and vendors alike.
“ADVA Optical Networking was one of the founding members of the Dark Fiber Community,” explained Hunter Newby, CEO of Allied Fiber. “I am excited to see the Community growing so rapidly and to know that this online resource is helping the entire communications ecosystem deliver high-performance broadband networks across the country.”
