SGI to Unveil Breakthrough Hybrid Computing Platform at Supercomputing 2010
SGI will showcase its most advanced technology solutions, ranging from the personal supercomputer to its largest scale-up high performance computing (HPC) platform, in booth 3313 at Supercomputing 2010 (SC10), being held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, from November 13-19, 2010.
SGI will unveil its next generation hybrid computing platform that delivers a petaflop of performance within a single cabinet, and will also demonstrate Altix UV, the world's fastest, most scalable supercomputer, first announced at Supercomputing 2009.
Other in-booth product demonstrations will include the new SGI(R) Performance Suite and SGI Management Suite; scale-out Altix ICE blade servers and Rackable Rackmount servers; COPAN storage and SGI InfiniteStorage platforms; Octane III, the personal supercomputer; and Cyclone, the world's first large-scale, on-demand cloud computing service specifically dedicated to technical applications.
"Supercomputing 2010 spotlights the most critical and fascinating technical computing applications and technologies from around the world," said George Skaff, chief marketing officer at SGI. "At this event, SGI will be unveiling a landmark platform and discussing our complete technical ecosystem that accelerates results for the world's most challenging computing environments."
