The Oracle Academy Adds Sun Products to its Portfolio
The Oracle Academy announced that it has expanded its offerings to include Oracle’s Sun products, giving students hands-on access to an even wider range of the leading technologies used by corporations and governments around the world today.
The Oracle Academy provides a complete portfolio of software, curriculum, hosted technology, faculty training, support, and certification resources to K–12, vocational, and higher education institutions for teaching use. Faculty can flexibly insert these resources into computer science and business programs, ensuring that students gain industry-relevant skills prior to entering the workforce.
The expanded Oracle Academy offering now includes Instructor Led Training (ILT) resources for Sun courses; online Sun courses via the Oracle University Knowledge Center, comprising the Sun Java Passport and the Sun System Administration Passport; and discounts on certification exams.
These benefits are available through the Oracle Academy’s Advanced Computer Science option, which also includes Oracle Database and Middleware software and curriculum.
The new Sun offerings are currently available in all countries, with the exception of India, Korea, and Saudi Arabia. These countries plan to offer the products later in 2010/2011.
The Oracle Academy currently supports over 1 million students in 93 countries.
