Oracle’s Sun SPARC Enterprise Servers See Expanded Deployment at Qualcomm
Qualcomm Incorporated has expanded its use of Oracle’s Sun SPARC Enterprise servers to support its growing data center.
Qualcomm needed enterprise-class servers that could easily scale to accommodate future growth, providing a platform to support its large developer community and tools, and corporate IT systems.
The Sun SPARC Enterprise systems running on Oracle Solaris provide Qualcomm with seamless scalability and reliability.
The company runs a wide-range of mission-critical Oracle Applications, including CRM, Business Intelligence and Financial applications, as well as Oracle Database 11g, on the Sun SPARC Enterprise M3000 and Sun SPARC Enterprise T5240 servers.
Additionally, Qualcomm uses Sun SPARC Enterprise servers to operate many of its Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and engineering infrastructure.
