Argus Announces PitBull on RHEL 6.0
Argus Systems Group will announce PitBull Foundation and PitBull Foundation Suite for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.0 at the 2011 Unified Cross Domain Office (UCDMO) Conference being held in Chicago, Illinois from August 1-4, 2011.
PitBull Foundation is a feature-rich, mature, multilevel security (MLS) software product that enhances and extends the Linux operating system and X Window system to include advanced security functionality. PitBull Foundation is compatible with existing applications and provides significant security to both the system and to applications.
On operational systems with applications already installed and configured, PitBull Foundation can be installed without the need to reinstall or reconfigure the applications. PitBull is the ideal choice for architectures demanding scalability, stability, and security.
PitBull Foundation for RHEL 6.0 is based on advanced trusted technology from Argus Systems Group and replaces and supersedes SELinux functionality and mechanisms. PitBull Foundation is significantly simpler to set up, configure, and maintain than SELinux and gives higher performance than SELinux.
PitBull Foundation has completed multiple ITSEC and Common Criteria evaluations (EAL4+) and has been a component of multiple U.S. accreditations at PL4.
PitBull Foundation Suite is a set of software tools and utilities that enhance and extend the PitBull Foundation product. PitBull Foundation Suite gives administrators, system designers, and software engineers the ability to rapidly develop, deploy, and manage complex software architectures on a system protected by PitBull Foundation.
