Cognos Names Andrew Cahill Senior Vice President of Operations
Cognos, the world leader in business intelligence and corporate performance management (CPM), today announced that Andrew Cahill has joined the company as senior vice president of operations, the Americas. Mr. Cahill will be responsible for sales, services, support and alliances throughout North America and Latin America. He reports to Tony Sirianni, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations at Cognos, who last held the position. Mr. Cahill comes to Cognos with more than 20 years of experience in marketing enterprise software solutions to Global 2000 organizations including leadership positions at IBM, Candle Software and Peregrine Systems. While at IBM, Mr. Cahill served in many customer-facing roles, including executive sales positions in the U.S and Europe. His last role at IBM was vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for IBM's $2 billion networking division where he was responsible for the global sales function and distribution channels. At Candle Software, Mr. Cahill held the position of vice president, worldwide sales, supervising the company's sales strategies, introducing new product solution areas and expanding telesales and business partner channels. Most recently, at Peregrine Systems, Mr. Cahill held the position of executive vice president, global field operations.
