Microway Delivers servaSTOR Linux Based NAS Products

Microway announced today that they are shipping their Linux based NAS (Networked Attached Storage) family of Storage Servers. servaSTOR products are designed to maximum airflow and minimum noise specifications. The configurations include 2U/4.5TB’s, 3U/8TB’s, 5U/12TB’s and 8U/20TB’s of hot swappable storage, using 500GB Seagate Nearline drives. Today’s advanced hard drive and connectivity technologies give HPC users a high return on investment, while at the same time lowering total cost of ownership. These custom built Storage Servers include one or two dual core AMD Opteron CPU’s. Memory ranges from 2 GB to 16 GB per CPU. Available drive interfaces include SCSI, SATA & SAS. RAID 0-1-5-10-JBOD mapping is enabled per customer requirements and fully tested prior to delivery. All Microway Storage Servers can be connected via InfiniBand through Microway FasTree DDR switches. Benchmarking services are also available. For desktop use, Microway is featuring a compact, 4 drive, hot-swap NAS Appliance with all installation, maintenance and management software included. This device is USB 2.0 compliant for dual usage through either USB or Ethernet ports or both. Completing the product line are several tape back-up options from Qualstar including: RLS-Series of Automated Tape Libraries with individual capacities up to 57 TB’s.
