Brocade Charts the Future of Storage in CEO Keynote

Brocade Communications Systems announced its plans to showcase the evolution of SAN technology at Storage Networking World (SNW) Fall, which runs October 25-28 in Orlando, Florida. The company's participation at the conference includes a keynote speech by its chairman and CEO, Greg Reyes, the formal launch of new products representing the next stage of SAN technology, and demonstrations of interoperability with a broad range of storage networking solutions on the exhibit floor. In a keynote address on Tuesday, October 26 at 2:00 p.m., Greg Reyes will share the Brocade vision of how the unification of stored data will provide new efficiencies in managing the enterprise. He will discuss the past and future of data storage at mid-decade, and provide insights from a unique perspective on the evolution of SANs. Brocade will also showcase its entire family of SilkWorm switches, directors, and routers, including a new family of high-performance midrange switches and a new release of the most widely installed SAN operating system in the world. Additionally, the company is participating in the Interoperability and Solutions Demo organized by the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA). Brocade Exhibit Booth #P7 and Platinum Galleria Kiosk Booth #PG7 At Exhibit Booth #P7, Brocade will show the entire SilkWorm product family, ranging from its powerful new midrange switches to directors and entry-level switches designed for both departmental and Small- and Medium-sized Business (SMB) applications. The company will also show upcoming 4 Gbit/sec and 10 Gbit/sec blades that will be available for the SilkWorm Director family in 2005. In the Platinum Galleria at Kiosk #PG7, Brocade will demonstrate the award-winning SilkWorm Multiprotocol Router, showing inter-fabric routing between separate SANs from three different vendors. SAN Health, an easy-to-use free utility that simplifies SAN analysis and common management tasks will also be demonstrated at the kiosk. SNIA Interoperability and Demonstration Demo The Storage Networking World Interoperability and Demonstration Laboratory will feature the Brocade SilkWorm 24000 Director and the SilkWorm 3850 fabric switch. As a member of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA), Brocade collaborates with all of the industry-leading vendors to participate in demonstrations, including the Storage Management Solutions (SMI-S, SRM) demonstration area of the SNIA lab.
