Oracle to buy Eloqua in $871 million deal

Oracle said that it has agreed to buy Eloqua, a cloud-based marketing automation platform company, for $23.50 a share, or about $871 million. The sale is expected to close in the first half of 2013. Shares of Eloqua were up more than 30% in pre-open trades. Oracle was down a fraction.
