As we reported on Jul 19, Petrobras in Brazil, one of the largest oil companies in the world, has chosen a supercomputing system from IBM. This is a Linux-based Grid comprised of IBM eServer BladeCenter systems utilized to speed deep-sea oil exploration in the state of Espirito Santo, Brazil. This is also the largest collection of BladeCenter servers implemented in Latin America.
