Soar Technology Names Kohls Executive VP

Soar Technology, Inc. today announced the hiring of Kevin Kohls to the newly-created post of Executive Vice President, Technology Operations. In his new position, Kohls will oversee the company's technical projects for government and commercial clients as well as software product development. Kohls, who holds a bachelor's degree from GMI (General Motors Institute, now Kettering University) and a master's degree from Purdue University, comes to SoarTech with 25 years of experience in engineering and management at General Motors. In his last assignment as GM's Director of Throughput Analysis and Simulation, he was responsible for manufacturing simulation, bottleneck identification and root cause analysis, and throughput improvement activities. Recently presented the Chairman's Honor award for his work leading this activity, Kohls' team helped generate significant improvements in throughput, schedule attainment and overall efficiency in key GM plants in North America, Europe, and Australia. "The demand for our services and products continues to increase at a rapid rate," notes Jim Rosbe, SoarTech's president and CEO. "Bringing on a proven technical leader with Kevin's background will help us leverage our existing resources, while at the same time providing a framework for structured growth.
