RSA Security Inc. today announced immediate support for Oracle Identity Management, a key component of Oracle Application Server 10g, allowing users of the RSA ClearTrust(R) identity and access management solution to receive seamless single sign-on across the Oracle platform and across applications protected by RSA ClearTrust software. This announcement builds upon the long-standing strategic relationship between RSA Security and Oracle that extends across product lines and organizations. Combined, the Oracle Identity Management and RSA ClearTrust solutions streamline the process of identifying users and controlling their access to resources, providing cost savings, productivity advantages and security enhancements. RSA ClearTrust software allows organizations to centrally manage user identities, authentication policies and user privileges. It provides access control and single sign-on to users accessing corporate portals, application servers and other protected web resources. Additionally, it provides native support for databases and directory servers, allowing users to seamlessly access all allowed Oracle applications. Through a shared security services layer that operates across applications, customers gain single sign-on across Oracle applications and other applications protected by the RSA ClearTrust software environment. This approach gives administrators the flexibility to provide specialized entitlement processing as well as the ability to look at specific directory attributes, centrally specifying which individuals have access to certain applications. "The growth of e-business has increased the number of users who access an organizations' applications, as well as the number of applications that are being deployed across a heterogeneous environment," explained Uppili Srinivasan, senior director, Identity Management and Security Products at Oracle. "This heightens the challenge and cost of safeguarding information from unwanted users, which is exactly what our integrated solution is designed to solve. The combined Oracle-RSA Security solution builds upon our identity management capabilities, and delivers convenience, security and control to our end-users, which can ultimately save them time and money." "RSA ClearTrust software delivers a wide range of market-leading capabilities that can add significant value for customers deploying Oracle applications," said Jason Lewis, vice president of product management and marketing at RSA Security. "RSA Security delivers one of the broadest portfolios of identity and security management solutions on the market today, integrating and adding value to Oracle Identity Management through enterprise wide single sign-on. As a long-standing Partner of the Oracle(R) PartnerNetwork, we're pleased to be able to deliver yet another solution that delivers real value to our joint customers." A certified member of the RSA Secured(R) Partner Program, Oracle has worked closely with RSA Security over the years to provide seamless integration between their solutions.
