PITAC to Meet Nov. 12

ARLINGTON, VA — The members of the President's Information Technology Advisory Committee (PITAC), including NCSA Director Dan Reed, will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Eastern) on Nov. 12 in Arlington, Va. The meeting will focus on the federal government's investment in information technology and networking and some specific applications including medicine and security. A final agenda will be published at http://www.itrd.gov/pitac/ approximately two weeks before the meeting. Members of the public are invited to participate by either submitting written statements to the organizers or giving a brief (three minutes or less) oral statement during the 30-minute public comment period. The meeting will be held online using Webex. Ten online sites have been designated for public participants who wish to join the meeting via the Internet. Individuals wishing to participate online must call the National Coordination Office for Information Technology Research and Development at 703–292–4873 or contact the office via email at pitac@itrd.gov to register and be invited to the meeting.
