AMAX has announced the next-generation of AMAX ServMax, BladeMax and GPU Workstation HPC platforms are fully optimized for the latest 8- and 12-core AMD Opteron 6100 Series processors. The AMAX platforms provide unprecedented real-world scalability and breakthrough power-efficiency across a variety of HPC applications, including financial services, database, network security, and newly virtualized datacenters. These highly configurable systems' unparalleled performance, coupled with their unmatched reliability, availability and serviceability, help scientists and engineers solve the world's most complex computational problems.
AMAX's comprehensive line of highly scalable HPC solutions are especially well suited for web serving, virtualization and cloud computing workloads. Boasting up to 94% power-efficiency, the Platinum-level redundant power supplies fuel blistering computational performance using less power with greater reliability. AMAX's powerful platforms deliver up to 12 Opteron 6100 Series processing cores and four channels of DDR3 memory, providing the muscle to tackle larger, increasingly complex and multithreaded applications, while scaling memory and maintaining overall value. AMAX is helping usher in a new generation of exciting form factors and computing capabilities, in large part due to the exceptional performance capabilities of AMD's latest processing technology, and enabling customers the flexibility in an ever-changing IT environment.
"AMAX has been a long-term partner of AMD and their commitment to excellence has proven a key differentiator in supplying solutions that deliver the performance and scalability to address the demanding needs of HPC deployments," said John Fruehe, Director of Product Marketing for Server, Embedded and FireStream products at AMD. "By integrating our new AMD Opteron 6100 Series processors, AMAX has developed a comprehensive line of HPC platforms to address their SMB customer demands for low-power, balanced systems and increased performance-per-watt that accelerates their time to market."
"By combining AMD's powerful and efficient architecture with AMAX's unique engineering solution design, AMAX delivers breakthrough performance and compute efficiency for large scale-out HPC cluster deployments," said James Huang, Product Marketing Manager at AMAX. "The leading system-level power efficiency of our advanced computing systems enables us to deliver performance-driven solutions that empower customers to grow, adapt and scale as their business demands evolve."
AMAX will be demonstrating its latest computing solutions at RSA Conference 2011, booth #346 in San Francisco, California, from February 15-17, 2011.
