Ziosoft will launch its PhyZiodynamic solutions at the Radiology Society of North America (RSNA) being held November 28 – December 3, 2010 in Chicago. PhyZiodynamic solutions represent a generational leap in advanced visualization.
"PhyZiodynamics is generations beyond today's standard advanced visualization technology," said Rob Royea, president and COO for Ziosoft. "Powered by a supercomputing architecture, it provides functional imaging analytics based on true fidelity images. The highly measurable, reproducible data enable appropriate actionable outcomes across the patient continuum."
PhyZiodynamic solutions provide cutting-edge algorithms for functional imaging analysis in multiple dimensions. Ziosoft's open standard software technology utilizes lossless image data which ensures the true fidelity of all data at all times for any DICOM imaging modality. This has resulted in precise image quality, optimized user efficiency and maximum cost effectiveness for an extensive range of clinical applications.
"The PhyZiodynamic images are breathtaking and could represent the future of cardiac CT," said Quynh A. Truong, MD, MPH, FACC, cardiologist, Department of Radiology, Massachusetts General Hospital. "We look forward to collaborating with Ziosoft. Our goal is to prove 5D functional image analytics and positively affect clinical outcomes."
Data analysis is accessible anywhere throughout the enterprise with multiple concurrent users per off-the-shelf server without the need for disparate third party "virtualization" components. With proven CT noise reduction, lower dose management is enabled without compromising image resolution.
"In reviewing a small prosthetic porcine valve of approximately 22 millimeters in circumference, I was unable to discern the details of the leaflets using conventional advanced visualization," said John A. Rumberger, PhD, MD, FACC, director of Cardiac Imaging, Princeton Longevity Center. "However, when the image data set was processed using PhyZiodynamics, the detail of the leaflets and other structures within the heart were clearly seen, enabling far greater diagnostic confidence. This technology is truly amazing."
MR Cardiac Analysis Suite
Ziosoft will also be introducing its complete MR Cardiac Analysis suite for its Ziostation system providing complete integrated analysis. Available in select markets outside the U.S. are coronary, time-intensity and time-delayed signal intensity analysis. A works-in-progress strain (tagging) analysis will also be demonstrated.
Automatic Liver Segmentation
In addition, the company will be highlighting its specialized liver application for surgical and treatment planning which offers automatic segmentation of the liver. It provides a guided workflow "wizard" for segmenting vascular structure, hepatic lobes, and lesions. Multi-volume fusion capability allows the display spatial relationship of segmented objects. Automatic volume calculation of each segmented object is available as well.
Workflow Enhancement Tools
Ziosoft will be showcasing several workflow enhancement tools including customizable protocols for any case or user type eliminating a "one size fits all" application. Automated pre-processing based on user defined rules allows the "virtual user" to perform routine processing 24 hours a day, seven days per week. Guided workflow "wizards" significantly reduce processing time and minimize inter-user variability.
