Rocketcalc Unveils AMD Opteron Processor-based cluster
Rocketcalc announced today the Saturn series personal cluster computer with AMD Opteron processors. Available with four or eight processors, 8 Gbps total network bandwidth, and up to 64 GB total RAM, Saturn brings impressive computing power to the desktop in a sleek, compact 12x14x23 in. enclosure.
Saturn combines the proven performance of the 64-bit Opteron processor architecture with easy-to-use cluster management software including Ganglia and Rocketcalc's Houston. Saturn Unicluster™ turnkey systems: Out of the box, ready-to-run GNU/Linux clusters with SuSE™ Linux and a wide selection of available pre-configured popular HPC software.
Saturn-V compact visualization systems: Including accelerated NVIDIA® 2D and 3D graphics capable of driving tiled 7 megapixel displays and projection systems, and pre-configured distributed multi-headed X (DMX). Systems can be used as building blocks to drive even larger displays.
