Rorke Data and FalconStor to Showcase HyperDrive at IBC 2010

FalconStor Software will demonstrate HyperDrive at the 2010 IBC trade show at the RAI Convention Center Amsterdam, The Netherlands, September 10 to 14.

FalconStor and Rorke have partnered to create HyperDrive, a high-performance file-level SAN solution developed specifically for the media and entertainment markets by Rorke Data. The complete data storage solution integrates Rorke's award-winning Galaxy Aurora RAID storage platform and the FalconStor HyperFS high-performance file system. Each product was designed to exceed the high transfer rate, low-latency storage requirements for multi-stream workflows inherent in today's post production workflow environments. The FalconStor HyperFS file system delivers very high aggregate storage capacity (144 petabytes) and low-latency file sharing across multiple operating systems (MAC, Windows and Linux) -- all within a single global namespace. This enables multiple types of Rorke Galaxy storage, including high-speed RAID, NAS and archive, to be managed and scaled as needed with efficient storage performance/capacity allocation per user. HyperDrive provides unmatched performance in its class and is compatible with most of the widely used post-production applications, including FinalCut Pro, CS5, Autodesk, Sony Vegas, Main Concept, FlipFactory, PipeLine, Scratch, Iridas, DVS Clipster and others.

Visitors to the Rorke Data booth will see a live demo of HyperDrive and have an opportunity to meet Rorke Data and FalconStor executives, including Vikas Ratna, chief architect of FalconStor's Advanced File Systems division.
