Oracle's Bob Greene Paints Oracle Applications Vision for Latin America
During his keynote yesterday at Oracle OpenWorld 2004 Sao Paulo, Oracle Vice President of Application Marketing Bob Greene shared with attendees the latest developments and trends in Oracle applications, including the immediate availability of Oracle E-Business Suite 11.i.10. Oracle E-Business Suite 11.i.10 delivers increased functionality and new industry features across 20 targeted industries, including financial services, healthcare and public sector. Developed as a result of extensive customer feedback and based on a deep understanding of business process and industry best practices, Oracle E-Business Suite can be purchased either as a Suite of applications or module by module. Either way, Mr. Greene pointed out, companies of all sizes will benefit from a consistent implementation and user experience, as well as built-in interoperability and integration both between modules and with other systems.
Mr. Greene then brought conference attendees up to speed on Oracle Daily Business Intelligence, the latest intelligence applications software from Oracle that makes it incredibly easy to achieve cost savings and improved information. Oracle Daily Business Intelligence is the first cost-effective, real-time alternative to the traditional data warehousing approach, unifying company information into one master repository within the transactional system, and making it possible for executives to drill into the detail behind key performance indicators, such as employee turnover, inventory and sale pipeline, within the online summary report.
"Oracle Daily Business Intelligence makes it much easier for businesses to better understand their business and their customers," said Mr. Greene. "Using traditional systems, answering questions such as 'how many customers do I have' and 'what do they own' can be very time consuming, if not impossible to answer. Oracle Daily Business Intelligence relies on a single data model, making it easy to get fast and accurate answers to these questions."
Mr. Greene concluded by reminding customers about the wide-range of options customers have to lower their costs and improve information -- whether it is leveraging the entire E-Business Suite, some of the Suite -- using the new integration services -- or none at all, by employing the Oracle Customer Data Hub to unify customer information into one master record.
"Ideally, we recommend customers try to achieve a global single instance by using our own product stack," said Mr. Greene. "But what if you can't -- or don't want to -- get there? In those cases, the goal is to simplify integration by making it easier to migrate and automate with heterogeneous environments. The Customer Data Hub is how we help customers achieve that."
