Transition Networks Announces 24-Port Managed Power-Over-Ethernet Switch
Transition Networks
announced the release of a 24-port Gigabit Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switch.
This new release is a high performance remotely managed PoE switch with 24
autosensing 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ-45 ports, 4 of which are 100/1000 dual speed
SFP/RJ-45 combo ports. It also supports IEEE802.3af PoE on all of the
10/100/1000 copper ports. This product expands Transition Networks' portfolio
of multilayer switching products, enabling customers to easily supply power to
powered devices (PD), such as wireless access points, network cameras, and
voice over IP phones, which are capable of handling speeds up to Gigabit
Ethernet.
The MIL-SM24TAF4GPA is
ideal for larger port count PoE applications where a power source is not
conveniently located and features comprehensive and useful management functions
such as Quality of Service (QoS), Spanning Tree, RSTP, VLAN support, Bandwidth
Allocation and IGMP Snooping capability. This newly released PoE switch is
capable of supporting a maximum output power per port of 15.4W over 12 ports or
7.7W over 24 ports.
"We continue to
introduce innovative products to the marketplace that enhance our customers'
ability to leverage PoE solutions," said Patrick Schaber, Director of
Marketing at Transition Networks. "Our new 10/100/1000 24-port PoE switch
provides network operators with a flexible solution for delivering
Power-over-Ethernet functionality to wireless access points, IP cameras and
VoIP phones in Gigabit environments."
Product Availability and
Configuration Transition's newest 24-port PoE switch is available now.
