VoltDB announced that it has been selected by Booyah as a technology cornerstone for the Company's real-world gaming platform, which captures and applies a wide-range of real-world signals to inspire new gameplay via location-based check-ins, product/brand interactions, and a real-world social network around interests/activities.

With more than 20 million users and top-rated game titles such as MyTown and Nightclub City, Booyah needs a database infrastructure that can ingest and manage massive amounts of concurrent player data at tremendous speeds and guaranteed accuracy.  Write throughput, scaling and data consistency are critical to bringing new players on board and handling unpredictable traffic patterns.  Equally important is the ability to handle high performance read operations that drive a variety of real-time leader board reports and analytics.
