Rogue Wave Software announced that its TotalView Team application verification, optimization and debugging software is now available as part of the SGI® Development Suite software development environment.

TotalView Team is widely used among developers who are tasked with developing complex applications, such as those that are architecturally or computationally intricate. For decades, it's been a staple among developers that build applications for deployment on supercomputers, but as more commercial IT shops find themselves building increasingly complicated software, TotalView Team is fast becoming an important part of Enterprise IT's toolset. TotalView Team includes TotalView, Memory cape, and ThreadSpotter -- with ReplayEngine and CUDA support as available options. This suite provides developers a powerful combination of tools to pinpoint and fix hard to reproduce bugs; memory utilization problems; race conditions; performance issues related to cache utilization and thread interaction; and other challenges related to the development, debugging and performance optimization of complex applications.

SGI Development Suite provides an advanced software development environment for developing, debugging, and performance analysis of high performance technical computing applications for the Linux operating system. SGI partnered with the leading software development vendors, Intel and Rogue Wave Software, to offer a rich development environment for SGI's customers. SGI Development Suite consists of SGI Performance Suite performance optimized technical computing libraries and tools, Intel Parallel Studio XE high performance compilers, libraries and analysis tools and Rogue Wave TotalView Team advanced code and memory analysis and debugging tools. SGI Development Suite includes SGI Performance Suite, libraries and tools for developing performance accelerated technical computing applications. Rogue Wave Software and SGI have collaborated to enable TotalView to debug scalable, parallel applications using SGI Performance Suite's SGI Message Passing Toolkit MPI library.
